An idealistic, stagestruck young actress is reluctantly mentored by an intense and volatile former actor-turned-teacher. Over several years of comical clashes, long absences, and poignant re-connections, as they persistently pursue meaning and purpose for their lives, they forge a profound and mutually uplifting relationship.

Founded in 2016. Sailor Beware is a Cape-based collective of theater and allied artists presenting pop-up and limited engagements of new and classic work for stage and screen.

The company operates as an un-registered non-profit and self-producing entity operating under the Members’ Project Code of AEA and its guidelines and, in various productions, offers a donation to local organizations from raised revenue. Past recipients have included Food Pantry of Provincetown, St. Mary of the Harbor Saturday Lunch Program, WOMR-radio transmitter fund and Homeless Prevention Council of Cape Cod.

CIDNY BULLENS

Cidny Bullens is a two-time Grammy nominee who began a career as a backup singer in Los Angeles, performed with Bob Dylan, and toured with Sir Elton John. Cid sang three lead vocals on the iconic Grease movie soundtrack and has had a string of successful solo rock/Americana albums from 1978 to the present. Since 2007, Cid has been part of The Refugees, a trio with Wendy Waldman and Deborah Holland. Cidny’s memoir TransElectric: My Life as a Cosmic Rock Star was released by Chicago Review Press in June 2023 to rave reviews. In the summer of 2024, Cid played the lead character in the new historical musical The Civility of Albert Cashier for a four week run in Los Angeles. Cid resides in Maine and continues writing and recording with The Refugees and is now performing his highly acclaimed one person show Somewhere Between: Not An Ordinary Life nationwide..
